Anti-piracy campaign

The Motion Picture Association of Mexico (MPA-Mexico) serves as the prominent voice and advocate for international film producers and distributors in Mexico.

I had the privilege of engaging with influential industry members such as Disney, Sony, Paramount, Universal, among other studios.

Through monthly communication reports, I provided crucial updates on the country's political agenda and offered strategic counsel to Director, Ana Magaña. These efforts resulted in effectively promoting the industry's initiatives while safeguarding the interests of MPA-Mexico's members and amidst a potential challenge posed by the new president's strategy to boost Mexican cinema.

Media

One significant achievement was spearheading a comprehensive anti-piracy campaign. Collaborating with my client and team, I conducted over 35 interviews with individuals affected by pirated goods across various industries. This campaign not only helped raise public awareness, but also achieved the client's objective of cultivating a positive public image, increasing the director's visibility within the industry, and protecting the interests of MPA-Mexico members.

Our efforts resulted in a robust plan to combat piracy, generating substantial media coverage from tier 1 outlets and amassing over 13 million views during the campaign.
